Swift River was formed in 2014 with a highly qualified and capable staff that remain with the firm. Our senior team members provide the benefits of many years of professional environmental science and engineering consulting experience. Swift River senior staff members have worked together for many years to collaborate and provide technical services to commercial and government Clients.

Swift River works as a partner with our customers to maximize project efficiencies and to incorporate Client philosophies and concepts into final solutions and work products.  Our extensive knowledge of regulations with an understanding of our customer’s operations and/or mission results in work products that not only meet statutory requirements, but those that often improve business operations.

Swift River is an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) subsidiary and U.S. SBA 8(a) certified Small Disadvantaged Business. Swift River is a fully-owned subsidiary of The Kuskokwim Corporation (TKC). TKC, an Alaska Native Corporation that has approximately 3,600 shareholders, was formed in 1977, when ten village corporations created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and located along the middle region of the Kuskokwim River, merged.

The villages include Lower Kalskag, Upper Kalskag, Aniak, Chuathbaluk, Napaimute, Crooked Creek, Georgetown, Red Devil, Sleetmute, and Stony River. TKC owns surface rights to more than 950,000 acres in the middle Kuskokwim region.

Various business functions of TKC, including Swift River, are consolidated under a subsidiary holding company, Tumeq, LLC.
